WHITBY PICTURES: Whitby is a popular place to take photos. It has a wonderful swing bridge which connects the east and west sides of the river esk. The RNLI boathouse is one of the oldest in the world. The abbey was established by hilda and is very important in the early church history. The connections to captain cook are quite strong. The modern sailing ships still port here with the replica of the Endeavor and the Grand Turk.
